About Us

Labs Forever was founded in the fall of 1980.  The primary reason was for hunting but soon it became a love for the breed.  The intelligence and gentleness of the breed became evident when I acquired a lab that was a natural pointer on upland game and was also outstanding on water fowl.  Consequently, I started breeding natural pointing labs.  When breeding are dogs we are always looking for the best bloodlines we can.  We don't believe and don't promote inbreeding there for we don't do it with are dogs, so we are always looking for good studs.  My daughter loves the outdoors and hunting, and helps with the training.  She is the one that started showing the dogs.  Her husband also enjoys the outdoors and hunting and is also active in showing.  With his help we established this website.  I feel fortunate that I have a "son" and a daughter to share this experience.  We go to South Dakota hunting upland game almost every year.  When we get back from South Dakota  we start getting ready for duck and geese season.  After hunting season is over we start training and showing in obedience.  We are also going to start training for field and trials this coming year and hope to start showing them in some field and trial shows this year.
